German I A & B (World Language, full year, grade 8 or 9)
German I is a full year course encompassing vocabulary, speaking and grammar. Although students speak, read and write German, speaking is the emphasized mode of communication. The course is taught in German. The German culture is also an integral part of the course - both historical and contemporary - with discussions of family life and social customs.

German II A & B (World Language, full year, grade 9)
German II is a full year course with German I as its prerequisite. The approach to learning is much the same as in German I, however, German II requires the students to use more spoken language. The German culture, again, is an important part of the course, including history, family life and contemporary German. The course is taught in German. A grade of “C” or better in German I is advisable.
